PassReady costs the instructor nothing: no monthly fee, no setup fee, no contract, and no trial that runs out. It is free for trainees and for qualified ADIs alike.
The one fee on PassReady is the booking fee on online card payments, and the pupil pays it at checkout. It is PassReady's 4.2% plus card processing, rounded up to the next whole pound. The instructor never pays the booking fee and never pays card processing.
On a £40 lesson PassReady keeps £1.92 and the card processing is about £0.85, both paid out of the pupil's £43. The instructor receives their full price, usually a little more, because the pupil's total is rounded up to a clean number and that round-up is split with the instructor.
The full diary, pupils and lessons; cash and off-platform lessons logged free forever; a personal booking page; DVSA-aligned progress tracking and lesson notes; tax and Making Tax Digital records, expenses and mileage; vehicle reminders, promo codes, gift cards and exports; and the pupil app, free for every pupil.
Is it free once I qualify? Yes, for trainees and qualified ADIs, with no time limit and no card needed to start. Who pays the booking fee? The pupil, always, and only on online card payments. Do I have to take card payments? No, cash lessons are free to log. How do I get paid? Straight to your own bank through Stripe, usually within 3 working days (the first payout can take up to a week). Is there a catch? PassReady only earns when a pupil pays online.
